MISSION: Coming of Age provides pathways to aging well for people 50+, strengthens communities, and fosters civic engagement through volunteering, education, advocacy and partnerships with public agencies and community organizations.
In 2010, the Travis County Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) re-branded to Coming of Age. In an effort to promote healthy, active lifestyles for our members, we added a variety of services and workshops to:
- Help people 50+ explore their futures, become community leaders, pursue lifelong learning, and engage in meaningful volunteer service
- Help nonprofits more effectively market volunteer opportunities to recruit and retain skilled, passionate, resourceful volunteers age 50+
As a program of Travis County Health & Human Services and Veterans Service, Coming of Age is strategically poised to help address the most critical community needs in Travis County. We hope you’ll consider becoming a member or organizational partner today!
